Last week I travelled down to Huntingdon to visit Hannah and Matt again, whose wedding I will be photographing next month at the Parish Church of St Mary the Virgin in Godmanchester and later at their reception at Slepe Hall Hotel in St Ives. Our meeting gave us the chance to talk over their day and finalise the group photography that they want, as well as allowing us to have a wander over the Chinese Bridge to the ‘reck’ and take some photographs. Very often people can be a little nervous about how they might look in their wedding photographs, they might not have their picture taken very often, or feel that they might not be very photogenic, so having an engagement shoot is the perfect way for me to share some posing tips with couples and it gets them used to the feeling of having a photographer with them. They are usually very relaxed shoots and they can really help couples get past any nerves before the day.
Before we went out we had to get a picture of Hannah and Matt’s beloved dog Bailey (he dressed for the occasion!).
