An autumn afternoon’s stroll – Family Photography

Autumn is such an amazing time of year for colours, perfect for creating beautiful images on location. I have been busy doing lots of family portraits outdoors, which makes for lovely natural, relaxed-looking pictures of children at play.

We strolled along the towpath, stopping every so often briefly for a few pictures. The sun was warm and low, and the trees and leaves looked glorious. We had a lot of laughs, collected sticks, looked for birds and ‘baa’ed at the sheep.  And as this shoot took place around Halloween we had to have picture with the pumpkin that the girls had decorated. As we walked back the sun was setting and there was a more ethereal feel, perfect for a black and white shot. Thank you Rachel, Amelia and Madeline for a lovely afternoon’s walk x
